Indications:
ACESSAL PROTECT is a medicinal product containing acetylsalicylic acid. In high doses it relieves pain and reduces inflammation and fever. In low doses it reduces the ability of platelets (thrombocytes) to stick together and to adhere to the walls of blood vessels, thereby reducing the risk of blood clot (thrombus) formation.
ACESSAL PROTECT is used:
• concomitantly with other medicines for the treatment of acute heart attack and some types of chest pain (angina)
• to prevent a recurrent heart attack, stroke, and to reduce the risk of blood clot formation in surgery or blood vessel tests
• to reduce the risk of heart attack in patients with high blood pressure, diabetes mellitus, high cholesterol blood levels, obesity, as well as in smokers and elderly people.
