Indications:
The active substance contained in this drug is the macrolide antibiotic azithromycin. It interferes with the protein synthesis in the bacteria cell wall thereby inhibiting the growth and replication of microorganisms that cause common diseases in humans.
ZETHRUM is used to treat infections caused by azithromycin-sensitive bacteria such as:
• upper respiratory tract infections: inflammation of the throat and tonsils, sinuses, middle ear;
• lower respiratory tract infections: bronchitis, various types of pneumonia;
• infections of the skin and soft tissues: first stage of the so-called Lyme disease (tick-borne infectious disease), erysipelas (red wind), various bacterial infections of the skin.
